Simple Starts

So I have been doing a little side project when I have time. It is something I have found lots of people doing, artist journals. I decided to have a theme for my journal based on the book (my favorite book) I chose to use as my base. That book would be The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. If you have not read it I strongly suggest it.

Wanderlust is the theme for my journal. I find choosing a theme makes me more creative with the pages to try and get them to fit inside that theme. Something I find that many people looking to start an artist journal do is try many complex ways to make their pages. This makes them discouraged when the pages don’t turn out right the first time. My tip is simplicity is best. Many of my favorite pages only took me a few minutes to put together.

I encourage you to try it out. It is a fun way to test ideas on a small scale and try new creative methods.
